QuickAdd

QuickAdd™ is a cool web clipping application that allows you to add new memos, addresses, dates, and to-do items from a single application.

System Requirements

The following hardware and software requirements are necessary to run QuickAdd:

Web clipping-enabled Palm organizer
iKnapsack
Add Palm Data Plug-in

Note: Version 1.0 of QuickAdd required the use of the Add Address, Add Date, Add To Do, and Add Memo iKnapsack Plug-ins. These plug-ins have been consolidated into the Add Palm Data iKnapsack plug-in. QuickAdd 1.1 requires the Add Palm Data plug-in.

The QuickAdd main screen lets you add a new name, date, memo or to-do.

Documentation

QuickAdd allows you to perform the following four functions:

QuickDate: Add a new event to your Date Book.
QuickName: Add a new address to your Address Book.
QuickToDo: Add a new to-do item to your To-Do List.
QuickMemo: Add a new memo to your Memo Pad.

Tap the icons to enter the quick edit page for each function. Along the side of the screen will be a navigation bar with which you can quickly move between functions. QuickAdd makes it easy to add new dates, names, memos, and to-do's in one session!

QuickDate

Tap the calendar icon to enter the QuickDate page. You can enter the following information about each event:

Event: Event description.
Date: Date of the event.
Start: Starting time for the event.
End: End time for the event.
No time: Check this box if you want an untimed event.
Alarm: Check this box if you want to be notified of the event.
Alarm info: Enter information regarding the amount of time you wish to have before being notified of the alarm.

When you have finished entering all this information, tap Add Date to instantly add this event to your handheld's DateBook.

QuickName

Tap the person icon to enter the QuickName page. You can enter the following information about each person:

First: The first name of the contact.
Last: The last name of the contact.
Phone: The phone number of the contact.
Email: The email address of the contact.

When you have finished entering all this information, tap Add Name to instantly add this contact to your handheld's Address Book.

QuickToDo

Tap the check icon to enter the QuickToDo page. You can enter the following information about each to-do item:

Description: The item description.
Priority: The priority for this item. Choose from 1-5.
Due Date: The due date for this item.
Note: Additional information regarding this item.

When you have finished entering all this information, tap Add Item to instantly add this contact to your handheld's To-Do List.

QuickMemo

Tap the note icon to enter the QuickMemo page. Enter your memo and tap Add Memo to instantly add this note to the Memo Pad.

Troubleshooting

I receive a "Database not found (iNet 1441)" error everytime I try to add data.
Before you can use QuickAdd, you first need to install the iKnapsack application. Next you must download and install the Add Palm Data iKnapsack Plug-in.

I get an message saying an error prevented the item from being added to the database.
Manually enter the data in the desired application, return to QuickAdd, and try again. If that does not solve the problem, send us an email.
